Rules And Regulations

This contest is sponsored by Kal Tire (the "Contest Sponsor") and executed by the Western Hockey League (the "Contest Executor"). By entering the Kal Tire Playoff Performance of The Week, entrants agree to comply with the following rules and regulations:

Promotion Period: Starting Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon MST and ending Monday, May 8, 2017 at 12:00 midnight, at which time no further entries will be accepted.
Eligibility: This promotion is open to all legal residents of the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba who are 18 years of age or older. Affiliates (and members of the immediate families and households of such affiliates) of Kal Tire (the "Contest Sponsor"), and the Western Hockey League (the "Contest Executor") and their respective affiliated, associated, and related companies, agents, subsidiaries, suppliers, printers, distributors, franchisees, participating retail stores and all of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releases") in these official rules, "immediate family" means parents, children, siblings and spouse are exempted from all participation. By entering the promotion, each entrant (and his/her parent/legal guardian if he/she is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence) agrees to abide by the promotion rules and all decisions of the independent judging organization, which shall be final and binding on all entrants in all matters relation to this promotion.
How to Enter: To enter the Kal Tire Playoff Performance of The Week promotion, (the "promotion") visit whlperformanceoftheweek.com and vote for which of the three playoff performances should make the top spot for that week. Voting is limited to one vote per video, per day.
Prizes: There is one (1) Grand Prize and (6) weekly prizes to be won throughout the course of the promotion.

Grand Prize (x1): Consists of one (1) $788 WHL Media Prize Package. The WHL Media Prize Package includes:
- One (1) iPad Air 2 – value $499
- One (1) One-year All Access Regular Season Subscription to WHL Live – value $289
Weekly Prizes (x6): Six selected winners will win one (1) of six (6) weekly prize packs. Individuals cannot win more than one weekly prize. All weekly prize winners are eligible for the Grand Prize. The weekly prize pack consists of:
- One (1) Western Hockey League Prize Pack – Value $80 per weekly prize, courtesy of the WHL.
Grand Prize Winner Selection / Notification: After conclusion of the promotion on Monday, May 8, 2017, one (1) entry will be randomly selected within twenty-four (24) hours. The winner will be contacted by telephone and/or email within the five (5) business days of the promotions conclusion. If an eligible entrant cannot be contacted within the allotted time, he/she is no longer eligible to win and another entrant will be drawn and the process of contacting the new entrant will be repeated. Limit of one (1) prize per person. No communication will be entered into except with the selected entrants. The Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule any promotion draw. No responsibility is assumed by the Sponsor for any inability of a potential entrant to successfully enter any draw for any reason.

Weekly Prize Winner Selection / Notification: Weekly prize winners will be contacted the Tuesday, following the week in which the prize is being drawn for. Contact dates for weekly prize winners include: April 4, April 11, April 18, April 25, May 2 with the last weekly prize being drawn on May 9. Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or email. If an eligible entrant cannot be contacted within five (5) business days, he/she is no longer eligible to win and another entrant will be drawn and the process of contacting the new entrant will be repeated. Limit of one (1) weekly prize per person. No communication will be entered into except with the selected entrants. The Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule any promotion draw. No responsibility is assumed by the Sponsor for any inability of a potential entrant to successfully enter any draw for any reason.
How to Claim Prize: Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question within twenty-four (24) hours of first contact. The selected entrant will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the "Release Form") confirming compliance with these official contest rules & regulations, acceptance of the Prize Package as awarded without substitution, and releasing the Contest Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest judging organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with the Prize Package or this contest.

Failure to answer the mathematical skill-testing question correctly or failure to return the Release Form within the period indicated on the Release Form will cause the Prize Package to be forfeited and a new random draw from the remaining eligible entries will be conducted to select another entry and the process noted above will be repeated until a winner is declared or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first.
Publicity: By entering this contest, the contest winners authorize the Contest Sponsor and their representatives to use any related publicity required; their name, photograph, image, any statements they may make regarding the prize, place of residence and/or voice for advertising purposes and in any form of media including the Internet, without any form of compensation.
The Decisions of the Contest Judges are final: In the event of a conflict between the rules and any instructions or interpretation of these rules given by a Western Hockey League or Kal Tire affiliate regarding a Contest, these rules shall prevail.
General: By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to abide by the official contest rules & regulations and the decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the contest, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters relative to this contest. All entries become the permanent property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be returned. Kal Tire will not re-use or re-sell the names compiled from this contest to any outside or promotional companies. The entries received will be strictly used for contest purposes only. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and is void where prohibited.

The Contest Sponsor of the Contest Executor reserves the right to void any entry and/or cancel or modify the contest in whole or in part with no obligation or liability (without notice to entrants individually) if, in its sole subjective discretion, it determines that for any reason the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, fraud, technical failures, human, printing or distribution errors, or any causes or occurrences have compromised the administration, safety, fairness or integrity of the contest.

By entering this Contest, each participant agrees: (a) to release and hold harmless Co-Prize Suppliers and each of their respective affiliates, past and present officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (individually and collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability, including but not limited to negligence and damages of any kind to persons and property, including but not limited to invasion of privacy (under appropriation, intrusion, public disclosure of private facts, false light in the public eye or other legal theory), defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity, infringement of trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights, property damage, or death or personal injury arising out of or relating to a participant’s entry, creation of an entry or submission of an entry, participation in this Contest, acceptance or use or misuse of prize and/or the broadcast, exploitation or use of entry; and (b) to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Released Parties from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liabilities (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or relating to an entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or entrant’s acceptance, use or misuse of prize.
